Working as a Temp

An Introduction

In days gone by ‘being a temp’ generally meant that you didn’t have the ability to get a permanent job elsewhere and were ‘getting by’ with second best.

Today, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Temporary work is one of the most buoyant sectors in the employment market  - and still growing. The reasons for that are numerous. But of course among them is the fact that Temps, like permanent workers, can accrue employer-funded superannuation.

For many people, temping is become a way of life – the way they’re choosing to work in the long term.  Others find it offers essential freedom and flexibility. Fitting work in around study or other obligations is so much easier when you can select when and where you want to work.

And for a third group, ‘temping’ is a great way of seeing the business world, testing various roles, racking up experiences and learning different skills until the day the door opens on the perfect permanent job. (And you’d be surprised how often that actually happens for our Windsor temps!)

At Windsor, temporary work can last anywhere from one day to one year. Some roles are ‘open ended’ which means that they don’t actually have a finishing date.

Windsor has clients in a whole range of industries situated in the CBD and across the suburbs from Caboolture to the Gold Coast.

If you’d like to become a member of the highly regarded Windsor Temporary Outsource Team, all you need beside your skills are smart office attire, lovely manners and a great, friendly can-do attitude.

Skills that we find most in demand are Office Administration, Reception/Admin (particularly in trades, manufacturing and medical), all Accounts roles, - particularly with MYOB capabilities, Data Entry, Payroll, Executive Assistant and many customer service situations.
